?Knowing that Aaron Hernandez was a key player on some pretty good ?Patriots teams a few years ago is a pretty scary thought for most NFL fans.
According to former linebacker Dane Fletcher, head coach ?Bill Belichick told the team to forget about Hernandez all together and not to speak of him moving forward following the news broke he was arrested for murder.

This is pretty much what anybody who barely knows of Belichick would assume him to say after an incident like this.
At the end of the day, Belichick isn’t really a warm guy. He cares about one thing, and one thing only, and that’s winning football games.
Every decision he makes is the one that is going to be best for the team. With a chance at winning the Super Bowl every season, obviously he’s going to try to say things that will help his team win now. Eliminating Hernandez’s name from the locker room was a no-brainer.

??Teammates in the NFL are sometimes treated like family, which left many New England players confused when hearing about the crimes that Hernandez had committed.
It’s clear to see that head coaches have a different perspective on situations, and Belichick was the deciding factor in how New England would handle this troubling situation.
